Zan Priefer

Hello,

My Name is Zan Priefer and I am a Special Education TOSA at San Jacinto Unified School District.  The Best part of my job is collaborating with and supporting new special education teachers, providing them with training's in IEP writing, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and evidence based strategies for behavior and academics. In addition to supporting new teachers, I also provides assistance to site administrators on special education policies and procedures, scheduling and implementing co-teaching models at their site.  As a district Administrator Designee I facilitate the initial IEP’s for the SJUSD Special Education Preschool Program.

During my 22 years in education I have taught a variety of subjects in General education and Special education. I hold a General education credential, Educational Specialist credential Moderate to Severe and Mild to Moderate, as well as a Masters in Special Education.  

I have been given the opportunity to become a Trainer of Trainers for SEIS, Unique Curriculum, and CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. I am also a member of  the Special Education Leadership team.

I love being part of the San Jacinto difference helping to train and retain quality Special Education teachers.
