Dr. Maria Valdovinos-Bhatia was named Principal of San Jacinto Elementary School during the May 8, 2024 Board of Trustees meeting. Dr. Valdovinos-Bhatia has been with SJUSD since January 2022 and has served as Assistant Principal and Interim Principal at San Jacinto Elementary. She started her career in Illinois as a classroom teacher, then a reading coach, district literacy leader, assistant principal and then a school principal.
Dr. Valdovinos-Bhatia stated, “I am honored and excited to continue to serve our students, staff and community of San Jacinto Elementary School as the instructional leader. I have made amazing connections with our students, staff, families, and community members and will continue to nurture them and look forward to building new relationships.”
